Attend The European Foodservice Summit in Amsterdam: Sept 18 & 19

The 25th European Foodservice Summit joins Europe’s Top Restaurant Leaders – for the first time in Amsterdam.

Prominent industry speakers from across Europe and beyond. For its 25th anniversary, the European Foodservice Summit will be held on September 18 & 19 in Amsterdam, providing unparalleled international networking opportunities for business leaders in the restaurant industry. The agenda includes speakers from 10 different countries, offering exclusive insights from esteemed European and US restaurant brands, influential market investors, concept strategists, and market researchers.

The line-up of speakers includes:

  • José Cil, forme CEO of Restaurant Brands International (USA)
  • Claus Meyer, Culinary Entrepreneur, Meyers (DK)
  • Paula MacKenzie, CEO, Pizza Express (UK)
  • Joaquín Capel Alcaraz, Shareholder, Con Fuego (ES)
  • Saskia de Jongh, EMEA Vice President, Uber Delivery (NL)
  • Jade Frommer, Co-Founder & CEO, Eupherma (F)

A special highlight will be the keynote by British cultural photographer and artist Jimmy Nelson.

The conference promises a dynamic and insightful two-day experience, with a mix of fact-driven and visually compelling keynotes, panel discussions, interviews, Q&As, and break-out sessions.

The program will focus on the following topics:

  • Sustainable Growth: Navigating Long-term Success and Rapid Expansion
  • Crisis Leadership: Strategies for Turbulent Times
  • Saudi Mega Projects: Crafting F&B Solutions for Ambitious Developments
  • Investor Insights: Navigating Market Evaluation and Strategic Investments
  • Dynamic Pricing: The Potential of Fluctuating Menu Approaches
  • Share of Stomach: Supermarkets' Impact on the Foodservice Landscape
  • The Power of Data: Leveraging Technology for Operational Excellence

Deep Dives

A significant portion of the conference program will take place on the main stage in the Concertzaal of Amsterdam’s historic Felix Meritis. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to participate in two break-out sessions, offering the opportunity to delve deeper into selected topics and gain exclusive insights. These Deep Dive Sessions will focus on Sustainability, Tech Trends, and Smart Solutions.

Participants registering for the European Foodservice Summit can also book one of three Restaurant Study Tours on September 17. They have been organized in collaboration with restaurant professionals from Amsterdam, who will also guide the 4-hour tours. Each tour has a different focus: restaurants | lunch concepts | contemporary concepts. Establishments have been selected for their exceptional concepts, design, F&B offerings, or operational excellence. Culinary tastings at select locations as well as Q&A opportunities with restaurant/brand owners will enhance the experience. (Limited number of participants.)

On the evening of September 17, conference participants are invited to an informal get-together where industry peers can (re)connect and establish new business relationships in a relaxed atmosphere, accompanied by drinks and light snacks.

Speed Networking

Networking is a crucial element of the conference, and we aim to facilitate diverse opportunities for attendees to connect.  On September 18, just before the official start of the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a speed networking session. This session will enable them to connect with a large number of industry peers in a short time, making it ideal for establishing initial contacts that can be further developed throughout the day.

A Uniquely European Industry Event

Katrin Wissmann, Executive Editor, european foodservice media and EFSS programme manager comments: “What sets the European Foodservice Summit apart is its distinctive pan-European approach, reflected both in its program and its audience. While each country hosts its own national industry events, we aim to provide a comprehensive European perspective, fostering connections among restaurant leaders across the continent and beyond. We believe that any company seeking growth, whether domestically or internationally, will gain valuable insights from understanding business strategies and innovations of companies in other markets.”
